Animal of the Central American indigenous tradition that is an inseparable companion of a person; it is considered a spiritual protector throughout life.
All life began in the water and for thousands of years, indigenous tribes believed their guardians and protectors of life took the form of animals. Today, we intend to remind the modern world of these ancient spirits. Through conscious encounters, respectful interactions, and unforgettable experiences, it’s your turn to heal and reconnect with your animal guide. It’s time for humans to protect their oceanic naguals.

Although Naguals are centuries old, the Nagual Dive Tribe is Baja’s latest underwater adventure. Founded by Rodrigo Marroquin (more about him below), our experiences are tailored to gift you remarkably unique memories while sharing with you local knowledge on how to protect our source of life.

Meet Rodrigo
Mexico City born, nomad at heart, rooted in Baja California Sur.
Wildlife expert, SCUBA instructor, and freediver. Rodrigo knows the Mar de Cortez as well as the local bull sharks.
He’s been guiding dive trips, ocean safaris, and liveaboards to Mexico’s world-class diving destinations for the past 15 years. If local knowledge is what you seek, search no more.
His passion for the ocean, dedication to protecting wildlife, and energy in every dive are what separate Rodrigo from the rest. Dive with him once and catch his fervor for the underwater world (don’t believe us? His clients do!)
His work has brought him coast to coast, starting his Nagual path in Quintana Roo in 2009 and now the jewel that is Baja California Sur. Having collaborated with industry leaders on projects for names like BBC, PBS, and NatGeo.
